SPRING 2023 GLEN RIDGE SOCCER REGISTRATION

*Developmental and Festival Registrations are NOW OPEN*

Register now to take advantaged of our reduced Spring Fees!

Developmental: Preschool through 2nd Grade.

Festival: 2015 and 2016 birth years only

We urge parents to choose the appropriate level for their children's interest level. For most children, our Developmental program is a great place to learn soccer and play with their friends- games and once a week training are all held at Brookdale or town elementary schools.  If you have questions or concerns about where your child might best fit, we are happy to give recommendations.  Please reach out to soccer@graa.org.

You may ONLY register for Travel if you were on an assigned Travel team for Fall 2022 (or are a 2015  player and received an email invite based on your fall performance) . The GRAA soccer teams are formed in the fall and adjusted in the spring to accommodate changes in registration- most players will be on their fall teams except for a few necessary changes due to deletions and additions of teams.

Please only register for Travel if you are eligible- any players who are incorrectly registered and need a refund will incur a $10 refund fee.

Click through to the program pages for information about our three offerings for the GRAA Spring 2023 Soccer Program: (1) Travel;(2) Festival; or (3) Developmental.

Financial Aid
The GRAA proudly offers financial aid confidentially to any Glen Ridge family with financial need.

Uniforms

Uniforms can be ordered from by clicking here.

Developmental players order the red practice shirt ($20) (this is the same shirt that players will use as they advance to Festival and Travel in future seasons).

Festival players for Spring 2023 who don't have a jersey can order the black practice shirt ($20).

Travel players that do not already have a uniform from last  season will need to order a full kit, but do not order a uniform until you have a confirmed roster email/number assignment from your parent coach.

Thank you!

Parent Volunteers

Please reach out to your respective program (see email links at bottom of this welcome page) if you are available to help coach/manage your child's team.

We are particularly looking for parents to step up to help with FESTIVAL and our newest TRAVEL teams.  If you are interested in helping, but not confident in your soccer knowledge, that is OK.  We will help you and provide guidance and support .

We can use parent involvement, from shoe tying to US licensed coaching experience. Each team needs one or more parents to liaise between the team and the OTA trainers and GRSC board. The parent coach  will be responsible for managing their teams Sports Engine chat and RSVPs and helping on the sideline at all Games (and/or finding an assistant coach to help with sideline support of the OTA trainer).

GRSC would like the following for each Travel and Festival team:

  1. Parent volunteer to manage the team. If a particular parent has a strong soccer background or acumen, we prefer that parent to coach alongside our trainers at game-time. Ideally this parent will also organize or host team bonding events during the season.

  2. Hired trainer for practice sessions, and to attend approx 70% of the games.

  3. Parent assistant coach if possible as head parent coach sometimes can't attend games due to schedule conflicts.

Parent volunteers are important also for our DEVELOPMENTAL program. These parents should be positive voices during our Saturday sessions- encouraging the players to begin play in a simple formation and give gentle rule reminders throughout the games.

Please indicate your willingness to volunteer on the registration or reach out to us (emails below!).

IMPORTANT - ALL GRAA VOLUNTEERS MUST FILL OUT OUR COACH / VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION FORM
